Hey, don't look at me. It's all Adam's fault. Nothing of my doing.

I agree DLS had a wicked install.

I would like to see a head to head with some of these companys, in fact I think I'll ask dave about it today

Thanks for ranking the M1's in with the utopias but the EXT's are ment to go head to head with them and at 20% less then the focals at full retail.

All are good choices I've run some and heard them all.

In CAE a few months ago there was a head to head with DLS iridiums, the top of the line alpine, rainbow and umm another one. the iridiums came out in 3rd place, but were a fair bit cheaper than the other options. compared to the focall utopias @ $2200 retail, less than $900 retail for the DLS iridiums for the same SQ is a great deal. you might even want to look into the DLS magnesium series, I've heard great things about them from a friend in sweden

Yeah price for the magnesiums is really good too.... but thing is i've got no way to hear them.... and from the looks of them in the picture i don't think they will have enough output to suit my tastes or keep up with my sub stage....

Does anyone have any expierience with them?

The magnesiums are pretty cool. They like to get nasty and loud and yet still sound great. They are definitely not high end like the Focals Adam has but are more of a combination of a great street driver with lots of SQ built in. And unfortunately I don't know anyone down you way with a set up and running. WE're working with a few dealers out that way but I'm not sure if they are close to you. And none of them have ordered Magnesiums anyways ............so

It's smart to listen before buying. Thing is listening on a sound board will not always yield the same results as in a car.............. usually never actually. So demo-ing is pretty much left to finding cars out your way that have a sound that you like and going in that direction purchase wise. OR......... you can do like the rest of us nutz and B&T (buy and try). Then if you no like-y, you dump them here usually at a loss

Just to pee in the pot I was at a USACi SQ comp this WE and I heard some nice setups. The best setup (due to his ability to tweak) was an all Sony system (current product line). I am sure in the store, and by reputation, the Alpines and MBQuart, eclipse, JL, should have eaten the Sony stuff alive. So I would put a lot of faith in install, setup, balance, tone controls as well as quality of name.
