And i can't use eBay, im only 15 years of age and dont have a credit card yet.
Thanks for suggestions guys appreciate it.

And btw Tom.F.1, are u serious about the amp requiring 60amps?!?!?! Thats... insane. How can a car even supply such a high power demand?

ok right now, im looking at:

1. MTX 12" Subwoofer (SW2)
2. Polk 10" Subwoofer (Black)
3. Polk 12" Subwoofer (PSW12)
4. Infinity 12" 300W Powered Subwoofer (PS12BK)

please suggest more. Remeber, i need a sub that can go REAL high on volume. I really don't care about bass precision and what not. I listen to trance/techno so it doesn't matter. I just need a really bass packed sub. ^_^

right now, the MTX 12' looks really appealing *drools*

one more question... does the monster cable monster bass 300 subwoofer cable really make a noticable difference to the volume/sound quality?
Ian... Now you are on the right track..
But before we continue, what brand/model speakers do you have now. What are you main left and right? do you have a surround setup? You cannot simply select a sub out of the blue. You need to have it matched with you main speakers in terms of output capability etc. If the mains are too small they will not be able to keep up with the sub, expecially for any DJing. That is why I suggested some BIG speakers. Those Klipsch Fortes are very efficient and will really but out lots of bass...No need for a sub. and play very very loud and clean.
Techno is loud but not necessarily with lots of deep Bass... So you may be dissapointed with what a sub will do. Bring some music with you and go to a audio store and ask to listen to the music on a setup similar to the speakers you have and a variety of subwoofers.

However, the only one comming close is the Infinity.

and no, dont bother with the monster cable hype. Waste of money.

As for Ebay etc. That is what parents are for. And without a credit card, how are you going to buy from mail order anyway? If all you can do is cash, then you need to buy locally... But if you have a bank account, ATM card and electronic banking, you can setup a paypal account and buy on ebay. Or pay via money order, which you can bet at any bank or post office.
Also, Circuit City is in the US no? will they ship to Canada? How much? are you willing to pay brokerage fees and duties and tax?

PS...I got my first audio setup when I was your age. The equipment is still being used today...30 years later. So think of what you want to do, buy the right piece of equipment once!

I'm not sure what you consider "real high volume", but check out www.solen.ca, click on the design link (4th from bottom on the left) and check out the Solen XXLS Subwoofer Series kits. All of them are $500CAD or less and can do (or so they claim) around 120dB's @ a low frequency. IMHO running car stuff at home on a $600 budget isn't doable, 12volt power supplies are just too expensive.

Heres a direct link http://solen.ca/sxxls.htm

EDIT
I'm not sure if the box is included or not though, doesn't say its included but it seems wierd not to include it.

Good now we are getting somewhere. If the surround speakers you got with the Yamaha HTR are brandless then I do believe they are the weak point.
Small mains and surrounds are all the rage because they look good to the wife...but they are not very efficient.
The subwoofer is not going to make everything sound louder, just add more base. Things will still sound bad because the small main speakers will be distorting like hell.

Have you ever listened to a pair of real speakers? Something with 10 or 12 inch woofers and horn mid and tweeters?
Visit some pro audio or DJ shops in your area and ask too listen to something bigger! something like the Cerwin Vega ProStax...look at page 3 of http://acceselectronique.ca/pdffull/catalogue2007Q%2053_61.pdf

or something here http://www.djdepot.com/audio-speakers-c-21_51.html

Your small surrounds are really not going to cut it!

even something like the Klipsch Heresy or Heresy II will blow your current setup away. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140067391554&ssPa geName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004

Be patient, as you may be able to find a use set locally for $400 or so. These are $1000 or more new.
I do not understand what your parents have against EBay, I have dozens of purchases without a problem. Scams to happen but are rare and easy to spot.

Nah Naha nahn nah, falling miserably is definitly tooo ugly to describe my situation... If it's a ground loop problem then It's easy to fix with a filter, I figured out hummin only when I touch rca with source or finger, because my body ground out the RCA input. Thats why noises. My logitech X530 hums when I touch the input jack.

Whatever is regulated or not, the transformer weight like 70lbs, which powerful enough to break wall circuit protection. I shortcut the lead, ending with power distributer jumped , 1volt drop from 14V. Will test with ammeter soon, it may do easily 100amp. secondary winding is make with 2/0 awg square cable 7 turns...

No no no...the Technics tower speakers are not good. I can see why you do not want to use them.

Anyway I have give you my advice, based on experience gained over 30 years. (that is twice your age)... It is up to you to use it or not.

Whatever you end up doing... just listen to a pair of real quality big speakers... Klipsch, JBL, CerwinVega etc. that can pound out the music.
They will blow your tiny HT speakers and your technics towers totally out of the water. Most kids your age have not had the experiece of listening to tru high quality LOUDspeakers, what with HT in a box, mp3 players, boomboxes etc.

Hope Santa is good to you today!

lol. oh well. I just need subwoofers that can pound the room. Its not volume im worried about. In fact, i dont want my normal speakers to do the bass. I want the bass to go all to my subwoofer(s). (I dont have to money to spend on a pair of klispsch speakers, but i would like a pair for christmas[psstt, i live in calgary] ) Just recently, i spent over $3000 on my new computer so i dont have a lot of money to spend now.
