does any manufacturer make a continuously adjustable x-over that covers just high and midrange freq?

An active filter ? just look for a 2way that covers the range you want....

most that i can find only have a multiplier on one set of channels - usually the high- i need one that
will do it for midrange too( but still let me cut off between 500-150 hz)

So you need the lowpass on the bandpass set to go how high? Coustic XM6 for example goes to 3kHz for the top end of the midrange.

what i was looking for was one that covers just those channels. i don't need midbass or sub ,but if that's all i can get i'll try it

^Old School Rockford AF2 and AF4 could be configured for whatever you wanted per output pair. Was kinda handy. They use resistor banks though.

The Coustic XM3 and XM4 have a single lowpass and two separate high pass pairs...
