I am fairly new to car audio and am currently seeking some advice on tuning my current audio system.

Here is my current set up:
2004 Chevy Avalanche
Hu Alpine 9887
Front doors Jl c2 6.5 comps
Rear doors Jl c2 5.25 coax for some rear fill
Subwoofers JlW0v2 12" x 2 in semi custom midgate ported box. Per the local audio shop the box is tuned to 42hz. This leads me to believe the shop fabbed the midgate pc but attached it to crappy prefab box. Wishing it was tuned lower but I did not find out until after the install was done so I'm sticking with it for now.
Door speaker amp Alpine Pdx 100.4
Sub amp Rockford Prime 1200r 1D 800w rms @ 2 ohms to subs wired at 2ohms.
Amps mounted under rear seat.

I am currently using the xover on the alpine hu and have my amp xovers set to the highest hz/full pass.

My current xover settings are
F 120hz slope 12
R 165 hz slope 12
Sub 80 hz slope 24

I am not comfortable adjusting the graphic or perametric eq just yet so I am currently using the preset Rock.

I do not know how to correctly measure and set the time alignment but want to learn soon.

I understand that xover settings are user and vehicle specific but I am looking for some advice or suggestions on where to start. Do my current settings seem right to those with more understanding and car audio knowledge? Any advice or suggestions are appreciated. I have read about but do not fully understand the need for some gap or overlap.

I am wanting to get the best sq and clean sounding bass as possible with my current gear.

I mostly listen to classic rock, hard rock, metal and also enjoy hip hop.
