Q about SPR17 LS Crossover settings.

I just bought a set off a forum member, now have 2 sets ready to install in doors of my Tahoe.

The crossovers are 6 way adjustable. I see after pulling off the cover of the crossover that there are 6 readings and a pin to place over the prongs to select a "dB". I don't know what they mean(currently set at 0dB, but the options are as follow's:

+1.5/0/-1.5/-3/-4.5/-6 dB's

What does this mean? I'll assume it's for the tweets?

If I want a warmer and not tiny squeeling high tweet sound, can I set it to a particular level to do that? What would be optimal?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
