deciding on subs

ok I got a 1200.1 phoenix gold xenon and was trying to decide what 2 subs to get probably off ebay best way to go well I like the idea of kicker L7's it would be something different.. And what my question is the 12" subs are 750 rms each so I would be shy of 250 watts rms the 10" are 600 each so 1200 ,, perfect but I honestly like 12 inch subs more I like the deep bass but from what I have been reading on some sites they are saying the 10" subs sound like 12 inch round subs does anybody have any idea if they do sound like 12 inch subs if I do go with the 10 " ones or is it ok to be a bit short on the watts ,,, or should I go down to 12 " L5's ... or im open to other suggestions Im having such a problem deciding on what subs to get . I just want the best hitting subs for my money like everyone else help me out

i now have two 12' l7 subs and a us 600 on each in a ported box. they sound great but have blown about 3 of them, may be due to the 600's being bridged, about 800w i believe? anyway 1 10' sub can sound like a 12' round sub, back when i got mine about 6 years ago that was a big thing, but now they have such a huge selection of subs there are many brands where a 10' sounds like 12's and maybe 15's!! i had 1 l5 12' and was happy with it. so you may want to consider the l5 12's that way ur not under powering the l7's and you would be about right for the l5's good luck.

What sort of investment are you prepared to make into the subs?
