my last mono amp was a JBL... it blew up... i got another amp... the JBL is a piece of crap, sound quality sucks and it doesn't even have a subsonic filter... and these new ones look sooo frickin rice.
i never had the chance to play around with any RF amps... but i'm sure they're better than JBL.. i hope.
if you plan on upgrading to a W6 later on... step up and get something better... using a JBL amp with a w6 is a complete waste.

I'd personally save a couple hundred cash and pick up one of these amps

I ran a powervalve 600.1 and loved the thing. I had absolutely no problems with it and would get one again no questions asked. There are better out there, but not for the price of most JBL amps. I have no personal experience with the new ones, but who knows....everyone makes faulty products once in a while. Maybe JBL had a bad batch, or maybe it was just misused (more than likely).
I have seen people blow up amps by misuses before, and it will happen again. What else do you have to pick from? I would def. do the jbl over that RF. Now the new T series Rockford, that is a different amp in itself!

i agree... it may have been me who blew up the amp... but
the truth is... the sound quality produced from the JBL amp... well the bp600.1 i used to have was not very good... once i upgraded to a ppi pcx1250... i noticed a HUGE difference.... i used to have a 12w3...
but i just upgraded to a 12w6...
trust me... if you run a 12w6 off a jbl amp.... it's a total waste...
