alright.. a month ago I picked up a Kenwood KDC(?)-X990 and lately it's been cutting out randomly. Everytihng kinda sounds scratchy and fades out, and poof, the unit powers off.

I have to press the reset button to get it going again. Some times it will stay on for quite a while, sometimes it will tur off again in 15 seconds...

anyone know? I dont want to have to send it away if I dont have to.

 

how did you wire it up
i would pull the deck ,look at the wires
i would say your power wire has/ or is undone

 

i've checked them twice, and re-wired once.. tried it on different powers/grounds..

 

your deck may need to be looked at
