you can pick up a alpine cda9813 right now for 388.95 on blowout, variable 6,12,18,24 db/oct high pass and low pass for front, rear, and sub, with time delay, and 5 band parametric eq, xm ready, aux in through the ai net and v-drive 60x4 amp, a bit outta your range cash wise but maybe worth savin da $$$$$$ for, go to your local alpine dealer in vernon and see
I've always been an alpine man...had a bit better luck with them than eclipse (my other deck experience) but.....that being said pioneer looks pretty!

Alpine makes a really solid deck, I used to own a 7894. Dont think it ever skipped once on me. Sounds great, lots of features, built in x-overs, TA, etc..
As mentioned above, the cda9813 would be a great choice, not sure if its in your price range though.
