Diamond Audio Hex Aluminum vs Alpine Type X Reference 6.5"

Hello all! I need help choosing between these two component sets. Both can be had for same $. Anyone had experiences?

They are going into Hummer2 into stock front locations and will get power from a Focal amp 150wx2. Not entirely sure if any of the set's tweeters are oversized and whether they will will fit, but thats another issue. Music choices are mostly house and trance. Planning on highpassing them at around 80-90hz. I am leaning towards the Hexes at this point, cause we like bright aluminum tweeters, and Hexes retail higher. However, one thing that bothers me about the Hexes is that some people on other forums complained about lack of midbass. Not sure if they had 5'25, or doors were not dampened, or lacked amp power. Another option was Focal K2P, but for more than double the money, and I was never impressed by them in the past.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

I have the tweeters from a Type X Ref set installed in my dash and they are quite bright. So much so that I've got the attenuation jumper on the passive crossovers set at -6db and the 3.2KHz range at -6db on the eq. Bright!
