eh yo,
i am on the verge of installing my system into my 92 accord, everything is all good except im contimplating one thing..i was thinking to get 2 sets of 6 1/2 speakers, front and back.but latley people have been telling me to leave the rear ones out and buy a good component set for the front,so my subs have more passage or whatever...is this really a good idea? i just dont want the bass to drown my sound, and in the accord the front 6 1/2's are pretty low on the door not like other cars have it almost knee level, these are kinda by my ankle/lower shin.i just dont know what to decide on,can u guys give me a heads up please.
thanks alot.

its up to you.
you dont really need them as the typical sound staging setup for sq is highs from the front and bass from the rear of the car...
but it is good if you like the sound of the music behind you.
i have an accord. no beef with it because i love the part about how the whole car is essentially screws and pop clips lol. but its slow lol.
well the whole passage thing depends on where you build your box. if its in the trunk yeah it would be oh some help. if its a rear seat box then you would want to leave them in or seal that space off as so you wouldnt have to pressurize the trunk as well as the cabin. so in that regard it might help out your bass.

well i have 2 alpine type -r 12" in the trunk(sealed box) running at 500rms each,im sure the "no rears" thing would help out,but do i really need it?,i dont think so.the subs pound as they are.im gonna stick with the 4 speaker set up...what i was thinkin though, would it do anything if i cut my own holes out in the back deck under the felt carpet, cant i just do that instead of removing my rears?
