Do you think I got ripped off?

PRS has awesome mids, but tweets are so-so mainly cause they hate to be overpowered, and when people throw 300 watts at them, it does not mean they are taking just that, those people like lotsa headroom. I do not believe for a minute that set can take full 300 watts, as the voice coil will melt way before that.

im def no expert. having said that.
what does rms rating have to do with sound quality??
a 50rms speaker of quality can sound way better and louder on a good quality amp than a so so 300rms speaker on the same amp...
the point is that the quality of the drivers has nothing to do with the claimed rms rating!!
also supplying 150rms to a speaker will cost more $ for an amp than to supply 50rms.

I have the same car as you, just newer and am running the PRS 720 mids in my doors (heavily beefed up with Hushmat).
I totally upped my battery connections to 1/0. It made a huge difference. I am still using the stock alternator and have no dimming with over 3000 watts.

Where did you run the power cable through the firewall? I'm trying to find a preexisting hole but no luck yet.

But then again, they are, cause they are part of the complete circuit. You can put a 000wg cable on the positive side, and your current is still only as strong as the tiny wire on the negative side. In other words, your current flow is only as strong as the weakest link.
I agree that if dont want to do the big3, then at least do the negative on the battery with the same size wire as the positive - again complete circuit theory. Come on jalat, lay off the booze

I also run a redundant 0 awg from the ground point direct to the battery...just to make sure there's as little voltage drop as possible. This is from the yellow top at the back (ground point) to the main battery.

Are you going to the IASCA show in Penticton this weekend?
