Does Cold degrade speakers?
#31
Wow when its -40 where i live my speakers work but my subs dont even move until my truck is running for a least 15 mins. They just sit there and kinda vibrate but produce no audable sound for a while so i just let them warm up for a while so they dont break.

In Zaph's experiment, changes in temp from 70F (~21C) to 40F (~4C), FS rose from 58.79Hz to 83.57, VAS dropped from 13.42L to 5.41L. Pretty significant. You don't think changes like that would be audible? Differences likely would have been even more going from 21C to -20C.
As for ABX testing...I know what it's for...but thanks.
BTW, when you say that “Electronics like cold”, you are mistaken…electronics are inanimate objects, hence they cannot like or dislike anything .
