Planning on relocation my battery to my trunk and at the same time get a beefier one. Any downsides to doing this?

Cleaner engine bay, prefer wiring direct to the battery for my stereo in the trunk. Weight distribution?

The only real downside is that you have a battery in your trunk. It takes up room and needs to be either non-venting or properly vented. If you plan on competing, some classes may not allow a rear battery.

Ah, I see. I didn't know battery needed venting but I guess it depends how much load your putting on it with the system. thx

no... batteries work on a chemical reaction to make voltage... one of the waste products from charging a battery is hydrogen gas which is highly explosive. the vent limits the buildup of the H2 in a confined space. This has nothing to do with the size of the system

fixed electrolite systems like AGM have less of a problem with this but it is still an issue

i think people who often do a upgrade because of car audio usualy go with a optima yellow top, its built in a way so that it wont have to be vented, and its also a very power full to fill the needs of the vehicle starting and the audio system,
