Ah, I see. I didn't know battery needed venting but I guess it depends how much load your putting on it with the system. thx

fixed electrolite systems like AGM have less of a problem with this but it is still an issue

no... batteries work on a chemical reaction to make voltage... one of the waste products from charging a battery is hydrogen gas which is highly explosive. the vent limits the buildup of the H2 in a confined space. This has nothing to do with the size of the system

i think people who often do a upgrade because of car audio usualy go with a optima yellow top, its built in a way so that it wont have to be vented, and its also a very power full to fill the needs of the vehicle starting and the audio system,
