Just for the record, any product will begin to come "unstuck" if not properly installed in the first place. Properly prepping the metal is the most important step. Not taking sides with any brand ... I use Dynamat Xtreme because that what is sold locally and it works great. Would I try other .... sure, if it has the same properties.

Can you define properly prepping? Because even after cleaning off the oils from the metal surface and wiping everything down with isopropyl alcohol, the stuff still comes loose over time. It's mostly due to the hot cold cycles, and the stress that the material goes through each time you close the trunk.

Don't get hung up on brand names, allot of these products are simply other products called something else. I bet that the roofing stuff is probaly very close to Dynamat. Certainly close enough to shun the $5 a square ft price. Insulation is... well... insulation, doesn't matter what you call it or pay for it.
