Eclipse CD5000 or Pioneer Premier 880PRS?
[QUOTE=Hardwrkr]Time Alignment has its place in car audio. It's been discussed/argued many times so just do a frickin search already and make your own conclusions on that. Personally, how many of us have the time (and sometimes space) available to get our cars to image great from both seats? How many of us care as it's our car so if we can make it sound great for OUR seat then that's what matters to us. QUOTE]
An audiophile would care, and an audiophile would MAKE the time and space to do it, that was my point.

I realize this is a forum and opinions are 95% of the posts but has anyone owned/used both of these HUs or carry both of them in their store and know about them both that can give me actually facts?
Here's what I've learned so far:
Eclipse:
7-Band Parametric EQ
24 bit DAC
8V preamp
GPS type area shot (cool but not all that useful to me)
Memory card for tuning on the computer
Pioneer:
16-Band dual graphic EQ
Auto EQ/TA
Removable faceplate
3-way crossover
Am I missing anything?
