I have had the same Eclipse deck in my car since...um...98-99 or so. Come to think of it, the only deck I did have stolen was my Clarion with detachable face.
I honestly don't think you can compare the probability of one brand of deck getting stolen more than another.
Lets not turn this thread into a "brand x that I sell is better than brand y that my competitor sells".
Each company has somthing that sets itself apart from the rest. ESN just so happens to be Eclipse's distinguishing feature.

^^ With eclipse being sold at FS, I think at the very least it will get the word out about the ESN technology.
I personally don't think half the people who jack stereos have a clue what they're taking/selling...if they see a stereo in the car, and they think they can get away with taking it, they will do so. Plain and simple.
Eclipse could just as easily made their decks ESN and Detach, but they didn't. Why - I dunno!!!
For instance, individually coded faceplates. This eliminates people taking faceplates from my store when they steal decks with the faceplate removed...
