FeedBack and Power Issues

ok...so i got 1 12'sub and 1 amp running off the factory deck.

i notice for the past 2 days when i go to start my car it doesn't have the "kick" it use to, it is like it takes a few seconds to thing about starting...(not sure if this is more of a mental thing , or if the amp is suckin all the juice)

also i noticed today when i turn off my deck there is some serious feedback from the subs...

can someone help me fix this ?

What are you using as a LOC and have you checked to see if your amp is staying on when the ignition is powered off?

How is your amp getting the turn on signal( remote on)? If you have the remote on hooked to a constant 12v wire, it will stay on all the time. My favourite inexpensive way of preventing the turn on/off thump and to give you more control of your subwoofer system is to wire the remote on through a toggle switch. You can then turn on your stereo and then turn on your amp, also if you have a lot of passengers that are elderly(like me) that hate the bass shaking thier internals, it's nice to be able to shut it off completely, which some decks don't allow. Anyway, that's one easy fix and you know that your amp is off when you kill the switch( should be wired to a switched 12v lead anyway, but just in case the switch is a double check).

don't mind my stupidness LOC ?? (what does this mean)

i actually have a switch (toggle) for the amp....but i can still double check to ensure the amp power off when the car is...but i'm 99.9% sure it is cuz i gotta kill the bass when i get into my area.

the system not having punch at first could be because the batt is low, do you find the car turns over ok?
