How many people bump over 160 db's on a daily system without a wall? He could do 160 db's no problem with a wall daily, but I mean he can still take 5 people in his ride and **** outta control. If you want to talk about crazy loud systems, check out some work from pete from team toxic bass. The wall he had with 2 soundstream xxx15's and 2 hifonics collossus was out of control (realmofexcursion.com).

sorry that you dont think my Tahoe is that loud for my power levels. Please name one or more people in the world that are louder with: regular street bass (not burp), dont have a wall, can see thru all the windows, driven every single day, and still seat (5) 200lb adults or (6) kids comfortably. Last time i checked, the only few that are louder playing anything that resembles music (i use that term loosely) are people with walls and usually tuned high with the exception of a few.

I didnt make this post to tell you guys how good i am or to "toot my own horn" but there is always somebody in the crowd that has NO CLUE what he is talking about wanting to tell me i should do this or that and get louder. Put it this way, there is a big BIG difference between what i do and what a dbdrag car does. Recently i did a CRX with 2 TRF 12's and 2 T2000.1bd. All he wanted was a 150, he got a 152.5 at the dash (dbdrag) and a 154.5 on the floor (Usac). This was done with the GREATEST of ease. Sounds like its not to far off my Tahoe right? Wrong, its a night and day difference. That thing was built to do numbers mine was built to devestate the block.......

Dont get me wrong its damn loud but I think there are more impressive setups out there considering the gear used

Umm, yes it is tuned to 30hz thanks.

Tuning higher in the cargo area of a Tahoe doesnt do much, they dont like being tuned higher then 50 and for me that is already too high for a groundpounder. Might burp numbers but trust me, spectators at contests do NOT care if you can BURP a 160 if it sounds like $h!t with music.

***for the record, i have touched 158.6 at a bassrace "demo" (non official because my windows were down) at a dbdrag contest. I have also burped a 158.8 in my garage on my TL.

Whos crying?

i joined before i made this post and since im new here i just now noticed what that guy said so i commented on it. Whats your problem?

Whos making excuses? What excuse?

I would normally be interested in how you think you could make my system better but i think ill pass this on this one. It doesnt appear to be working for you so it probably wont for me, whatever the idea is. Thanks anyway though.

I don't mean to cheerlead here, but I think if instead of passing judgment immediately, one actually took a look into the work and experience this guy's accomplished, one would realize that there are probably very few members on this board that could actually provide any "help" whatsoever to Steve...

As mentioned, he says the Tahoe was built for groundpounding, and that seems to be what it does best, but how many of these setups do you see putting up numbers like it does... can't say I've ever seen a 150+ broken at 20hz or whatever it was. If the best of both worlds is what you want, and what you actually got, power to you.
