A 4 litre (a touch more than 1 gallon) jug of resin at a place like Fibre Tek or Plasticworks out here is about $30 and that's retail price. Which is way more cost effective, and better quality since it's more fresh (resin has a shelf life, which is why the CT stuff is usually crap because it's been sitting for so long that it's gelled up) than paying around $15 for a 1 litre can of Bondo brand.

From my experience, the extra performance of epoxy does not outweigh the extra cost. Other's opinions obviously vary.

Plus I like the smell

Where do you purchase it, mine comes to around 97 tax in for a 5 gallon that is guarateed to be no more than 2 weeks out of the plant... gives me some time, with the 90 day or so shelf life..

Well i can get Polyester resin for $38.40 a gallon

Now well were on this subject,i can use Polyester resin for mulit layers right???

I was reading somewhere that said polyester resin should only be use when doing one layer. But i thought when you add the finishing wax then it gives that nice shine untill you sand it.

I think you mean scent... I'd be worried about you if you really meant flavor.

For what Select sells that BG scent crap for, I wouldn't buy it. actually for what they sell 90% of their stuff for I would buy it.
