Well, today i decided that i would to the 'big 3' or 'magic 3' upgrade. and am i ever glad i did. it made a HUGE difference in the perfomance of my stock electrical system. before doing the big 3, i could only get approx. 16.5 volts reading out of the speaker terminals on my hifonics bx1000d. that was with the gains turned up completely. now i can easily reach the 31.6 volts AC i was looking for on the amp without any clipping. for those of you having electrical problems, i highly recommend you do this.

Although upgrading the "big 3" wires is usually a very good idea, a doubling of the amps output is rare.
You must have already had some VERY bad connections before doing this.

i dont know i may have, i didnt change any of my amp power connections or anything, just the 3 wires under the hood, and the voltage shot through roof on the speaker outputs.

I did the big three also...although the main upgrade I consider was the most significant was my ALTERNATOR POWER WIRE.

I had an 8 gauge power wire charging my battery(I HAVE SEPERATE ALT AND BATTERY FOR MY STEREO)..when I used to play music with car off it would take me 3-4 days of driving with my stereo on low to charge my battery back up to normal levels-----When I added a 4 GAUGE power wire to charge my battery the time went down to only an hour.-----I'm happy I did that upgrade. Do you really want to go there again? You already lost this argument on carsound.
