As for your first question about under the rear seat . . . That's a no go in most cars. Most mid-sized cars have the gas tank directly under the rear seat. If you pop off the seat cusions you will see that there isn't any room between the seat and the body. Then look under the car and you will most likely see the fuel tank under the seat.

true...I have had the seat off numerous times...never really paid attention to the space...maybe the false floor is the best way to go in terms of stealth/max trunk space

As for ideas I'd say go with 2 amps - one to power the components, and one to power the sub.
I say 2 amps instead of one 5-6 channel because you can fit an amp under each front seat. I am a personal fan of under the front seat - mines been there for 2 years with no problems.

-Then again, if your sunfire is anything like my old '89 Tempest, you'll only have 2" under the seat then that won't work-

As for the two 10" in the corners of the trunk,
One of my friends did that with his '68 mustang and it is sweet! It sounds great and when you pop the trunk you cannot see them at all.
I think he used Rockford 10's because they don't need that big of an enclosure but I am not sure.

let us know what you do

First off, welcome to the board

I don't have much to input in the way of amps, but I do like the idea of having a pair of 10's in the sides of the trunk. You mentioned that your dealer carries Image Dynamics...if it's within your budget I'd consider putting a couple of 10" IDQ's in the corners. They don't require much space for a sealed enclosure, and they're sweet sounding subs They also don't require a ton of power to really get them moving

Hey Geezle!

Thanks for the input...yeah, I do like the IDQ's...I have heard that they don't need a lot of space to sound good...

Yep, they'll go in a sealed enclosure of .5cf and if I remember correctly, you can port them in a box under 1cf
