so my recently purchased XM Commander setup from e-bay is a dud, powers on sometimes, doesn't power on othertimes

I know it gets a solid 12 volts through both power lines so it's nothing install wise, leading me to think it's a problem with the box. Is there a shop in the Toronto area that can fix it? Particularly for a reasonable price? I didn't pay too much for it to being with

thanks

it's an e-bay deal and the seller's warranty has expired (two days to report a problem, it's been a week). I figure Terk won't fix it, but I was hoping someone knew enough about the electonics involved in these things to fix it.
