Unhappy Jeep Commander Bass Upgrade

Hi there,

I am the owner of a fully loaded 2006 Jeep Commander Limited SUV. The car has all of the fancy DVD entertainment, bluetooth, steering wheel controlled head unit, so I am really restricted from putting in an aftermarket one. What I am wondering about is if the following is possible to do, without installing an aftermarket head unit, and without cutting any factory wires.

The car already has the boston acoustics premium sound system, but I would like something to fill in the real deep lows.

Is it possible to install a subwoofer and amp in this car, without cutting factory wires, and running it off of the stock head unit. I am pretty sure it would be possible to do by taking a speaker level tap from the rear speakers or something, but I would like to know if there is any other alternatives.

Thanks in advance,

-John

Cool, i have never seen that before. Thanks for the info.

So i am guessing there is somewhere that I can plug it into on the back of the head unit, then im ready to roll?

Can anyone elaborate on the CHYAA.
