ow!

Lets ask the moderator who gave me the location warning what exactly he meant and where the rules were broken. If he has courage he will re-post it and show that the word ebay was only mentioned once, and there was NO link. This is supposed to be a car audio site, but seems like a billboard or on-line flyer. If they have a right to hack ebay, anyone on the same message board has the right praise the very same subject. If not,it is biased.

Plain and simple bias which is still not ok in this country. Makes even more of a reason to shop ebay when stuff like this happens.

Just because there is competition from ebay and such awfull expendatures/overhead/corporate taxes in Courteney doesn't make it smart business to stick it to local kids by stretching your margin so much.
I know for a fact, that your very prices have turned people I know personally to ebay and have been very happy with their purchases. Or they buy something from me for pennies and seem to have much better sounding systems than the overseas over-rated stuff of today that is how much $/watt?? Just happens to be a bc store where I priced that sub!
You retailers have to realize that consumers are smarter than you think. When they see a product they know is now discontinued in a store for the suggested cdn retail it's an insult. It could be very unfortunate for some kid who works after school and saves his money, buys something for 100% more than he could have, but at least the retailer is surviving here in Canada!
Please Explain yourself.
Would you care to see pix of the gorgeous Helix HXA500 Q MKII I got in mint condition for $240 cdn shipped? I wish I knew what the suggested cdn retail was? Oh well, I would never, ever be able to own an amp like this without this BC retailer sending me to ebay after telling me that handmade us amps were "meat & potato" quality and your made in china stuff was superior. I would expect that from a commision saleshark at a furniture store not the owner of an install shop.
After all, I would prefer to do my business with an indy as apposed to a chain or ebay. When it comes down to the $$ then toss in some insults/b.s., I will prefer paypal and ebay anytime.
OK, how about we turn this logic around on you... For the rest of your life you will now work for NOTHING, because somebody in another country does your job for free because they are a slave. how can you justify getting a paycheque when I can force someone else to do the same thing for free?

The reason for the markup on ALL items is so that the store can stay in business. People need to eat, pay rent, pay hydro, drive cars, etc. but I guess your "right" to save money (funny, that's not in the charter of rights and freedoms, but hey, I feel your pain) is more important than their "right" to feed their families or stay alive, what were they thinking.

you're right, everyone else can starve and die, as long as you don't have to pay a cent more than US dealer cost.

I'm guessing you smoke a lot of drugs, and then vote NDP

Do you even listen?

This is a private forum with an owner that could turn it into gay porno tomorrow if he so desired. There is nothing that he HAS to do.

I explained it to you, you chose not to listen. If the mod locked it, he had reason to. Plain and simple. If you dont like it, visit some other forum and continue to shop ebay till you get bit in the ***, which will happen...I guarantee it.

You're a complete MORON! lol the location warning is because you didn't have your location in either your post, or your information.

Your stupidity complete cluelessness got you the warning, and now you're turning it around on everyone else.

I feel your pain.

Oh, and Bias against a website is perfectly legal in this country. Bias against a racial, ethnic, gender, or sexualy oriented group isn't, but bias against a website is legal.

On second thought, any bias is legal, as long as it doesn't affect your behaviour or treatment of that person in any proveable way.

again, I feel your pain.

If you feel that you want to buy through ebay then go ahead, what do you really think your going to accomplish by pissing and moaning about dealer canadian prices. Or maybe you should stop working at the dollar store for min wage and get another job. Their are products made to accomodate lots of price ranges. I absolutley hate it when someone wants everything for nothing.

nice post silverbane

great info, but an excuse all the same. Not all dealers are like you describe. Everything I wrote is true from my own experiences or others who I have spoken directly to.
If it is so tough to make it in this business, the retailer should have known when before he/she started up. Its called DD! The ones that figure the dumb customers like me will take up the slack for them, turn me and others to ebay!

It's really that simple. No lies, just trial and error. I tried my local shop and was treated like an idiot, so I took my idiots money to ebay. So very, simple and fun too!
And please don't make me ask for profit margin comparison. We all know what that would do.

I'm actually surprised they treated you like an idiot. You'd have to rise through several stages of Moron to just be an idiot.
