friend is looking to upgrade, doesn't know what to git.
so my friend from school is looking to upgrade his system, he likes it loud.
So i was thinking 2 12's and something with a RMS of like 1000Watts... is that realistic money wize... he is also looking for a good quality pair of mid's and tweets, which also means probably a 4 channel amp aswell.
He's looking to spend around about a 800- 1000.
please let me know and I'll tell him what ya'll think.
Thanks

Dude, I have some smoking deals on equipment right now. Here is the link to them. This is just a fraction of the deals that I have available.

No, nothing like that. While they offer moderate results, it is something that we would only order in on a "as needed" basis. The level of performance that most people look for is beyond what the powered subs are generally capable of. As recommended in your other thread, a shallow mount sub in a box is more than likely going to offer you superior results. You should probably ask these questions in your own thread in order to keep this one on track.
