FS connected the power to a fuse instead of using the power from the harness. Is this really necessary? Or is FS just being stupid tards again for doing shitty/sloppy installs.

(This was done in my cavalier).

Is the deck internally fused? I believe on my CDA 9886 it has a 4A fuse in it.

Can you give us a little more info?
What year is your car?
- If its over 2000, did you buy the GMCO ($149.99)?
What fuse did they tap into?
Is it 12V constant or 12V switched that was tapped?

The deck is an alpine and already has a fuse in it. I believe the installer said it is sometimes good for extra protection.

It was ran to a 30amp fuse I think.

what?!?

How about your cavalier doesn't come with a 12v ACC lead and so they HAD to run either a GMCO or a fuse direct to a power source? The GMCO is the recommended way to go but most cavalier owners are stupid cheapasses who won't pop for one.

Or are you just another ignorant vehicle owner who doesn't know about car stereo OR the car they drive...

Be careful who you bash when you don't know dickfor.

I've tested it with the harness power and it works fine, so I don't know why they wired it to the fuse.

After FS did a few shitty installs for me, I have nothing good to say about them. They rush like a ****, and scratched up my dash. They didn't even mount my 6x9's in the back, they just left them in there without the screws because they said it "wouldn't fit".

They way they mounted my amp, they didn't give me any slack so the wires get pulled really hard every time.

I wish there was an actual car audio shop here, FS isn't a professional place to go...

Yet you go still there. What are you, a glutton for punishment? I have a mind to call their install lead, tell him how your bashing his shop and hope he kicks your *** the next time you come in.

unbelievable..

I'm closing this now before you enlighten us any more.
