Is this Good

I got a 1997 civic with clarion deck Im running 4g wire with MTX TA 81001 with MTX 500 series subs 2 10inch. I just put 2 6 1/2 sledge hammers in the front and on the back deck im going to put 2 6x9 also sledge hammers now i was going to buy MTX ta 7402 to amp the 2 6x9's but someone told me that if i just amp the 2 6x9's I will blow the 2 6 1/2's so 1st question will the 6 1/2 blow and second question is this a good idea

Run your front stage with your amp and power the rear with your deck. Or invest in a four channel amp.

what the person that told you about blowing the fronts if you don't amp them probably ment was:
By having only the 6x9s amped you will probably turn the fronts up on the deck to try and balance the sound.
Trying to make the deck keep up with the amp at higher volumes will cause distortion which kills speakers.
The front speakers are where the majority of sound should come from. The back speakers are more for fill and total output.
I argree with "wuff" If your amping just one set amp the fronts, otherwise amp both.

Before you do anything I would suggest you upgrade your power wire, the TA81001 needs 1/0 AWG to run, not 4...

I agree you should power the fronts. If the rears are in a really bad location you may find it a bit quiet back there, otherwise it'll sound a lot better than the oposite.
