It is definitely for listening. But i'm looking for the best amp for maximum bass. I really know nothing about this so you'll have to dumb it down a bit for me. What i've taken from this is more wrms means more bass? And 2000wrms is basically max

I had to compromise and get 10s too because of the place I had to place the box. The 12s had the same RMS (500w) but the bigger the cone, the bigger the sound, plus the magnet in the 12s is heavier, and heavier means more of a kick.

You need a monoblock amplifier, meaning it is 1 channel. The mrp-m1000 can be found even at bestbuy and if you buy 2, you have more wiring options for your Type Xs. Or you can get this CLICK it is one that provides 2000w RMS but I haven't seen it in stores. Then you would need to wire your subs in series like HERE

Remember to use at least 2AWG, preferably 0AWG for this system. And check if your alternator can handle the power. Any lower then 100a and you're in trouble.

My alternator is 130a, my system's RMS is 1400w and I'm starting to have issues because i used 4AWG and its too thin.

I would prefer to get it in store, that way they can install it. And I would prefer to get the 12's. How do I check my alternator thing? Also can you explain the difference between this amp Alpine 1000W V-Power Mono Amplifier and this one Alpine PDX 1000W Digital Mono Car Amplifier they're both 1000w but the first is cheaper so it would be more affordable to get 2

The new digital line amps are apparently only eye candy, stick with the V power amps. Newer amps were available when I did my system and everybody still recommended the V Powers.

Okay, what car are you driving? I can try and lookup your alternator's rating. be specific, with engine size and year/model.

What is going to be the total RMS wattage of your system?

Your stock alternator is 110a I believe.

If you do get Type Xs I hope you wire with 0AWG, nothing less then that, And upgrade the Big-3, especially important is the battery's ground to be with 0AWG. Fuse the amp wire with a 200a ANL fuse and make sure you dont overdrive your amps.
