^ You have some personal issue with the guy. I have some issues with reps too but I don't trash them on the board. You've trashed two in this thread alone

This is a discussion about distributors, not individual people. I would allow that since the rep is usually the only part of any distributor or manufacturer the vendor sees, their demeanor will affect how people view the company.

Meh, they all suck equally, especially that Charlie dude..... 
He's actually one of the more on the ball rep's I have ever had. We all have had good and bad reps over the years and they reap what they sow. Most of these reps though would never set foot into a place like this and don't know any different. Let's keep the bad rep's to ourselves and not out in the forum's deep dark depth's, we call the void. A good rep also makes a good distributor from each persons perspective, let's leave it at that.

a rep who is a proven liar isnt a good rep and not trust worthy, a stand up guy would let a perhaps unsuspecting person know the history of a person. the people that distributors put out there are a direct reflection of them and people who are asking about distributors should know if they can be trusted, a proven liar is someone who shouldnt be trusted, these things ive said are not anything i wouldnt say to them and in the case of steve boyle did. the issue i take is he is a liar, caught red faced lying to a store owner. dukk, would you not like to know if someone you may plan on dealing with is liar, i would, this is the void for industry people, a safe place to talk about industry related things just like who is a good dist,rep and why. anything to do with a liar is a company that i wouldnt deal with. if my opinion doesnt jive with yours, fine, keep it to yourself, and opinion was asked for and given, reps are a direct reflection of a distributor, and therfore a opinion was given on a rep to stay away from and perhaps the place he works for

I agree that maybe names should sometimes not be said (when they can not defend themselves) but this is the Void. No better place to air out opinions.
If any wish to refute anothers opinion then respond to the comments....otherwise move on or ignore it.

ask him, if he denies it, hes true to form, there was more people than i can cant on one hand that saw and heard it happen, this isnt a foundationless story, its a fact. libelous, give me a break, sorry if i dont trust people that have a history of lying. perhaps a stand up guy to you but a tale teller to others. i have heard similar stories about other reps and whatnot, those are hersay stories, mine was based on facts i heard with my own ears. i have met 3 reps that were busted lying, outright, 2 ive mentioned, and if the name of the other comes up in passing, i'll warn people about him too, and btw, im not talking about stretching the truth, im talking about outright bs'ing.

maybe someone looking to open there own shop wont get mislead by a dishonest person and lose money they most likely cant afford to lose, seems someone could gain plenty. my point is that if anyone here has been d!cked over by someone, be it a rep or distributor, i would like to know about it if i asked about them, like the original question, who are good distributors and why. the very nature of that question would no doubt lead to the person wanting to know the bad ones, for obvious reasons. if that changes the way people look at that person or distributor, so it should

Dave this is the place to vent and to inform. and you've done that very well. but one tiny thing. reps come and go some stay forever. you can only assume that a rep is good and does his job well according to the business he generates.
i have absolutely no idea about the gents you mention as i'm not seasoned but i like to think that i work for a distributor and that we are doing ok. i ve seen some guys do weird things, and others not even do a thing, but i feel that when you say that a rep is a direct reflect it is a direct reflect on the dist its like im part of that. "and does he mean me?" all i know is that within the company there are some stand up guys. 100% helpful and supportive. reps have come and gone and we still are the same 17 people at the dist that were there 4 yeas ago.
gone are some bad reps. but does that make the dist a bad dist for having him there. i guess im wondering is... now that the dude is not there at jestar, do you think jestar is a bad dist for having him in the first place. Would you think that we are good or bad cause the rep in your area is good or bad.
Hey dont take this the wrong way. i dont know enough people out there or know enough about any distributors any ways. I just hope that our rep in your area is ok and hopefully youll think im a ok also.

Don't people deserve a second chance as well...............I mean EVERYONE has done stupid crap.........if everything anyone ever did was held over their head forever then no one would be worth dealing with.................and I do mean EVERYONE has......................
