Ya it is expensive for an advertisment on the radio, plus i know most of my audiophile friends don't listen to the radio..
What will work is a Mail List.. possible 2 seperate lists for this board one being east and one being west. and a newsletter sent out on a bi-weekly basis..
Areas in the newsletter might be a review on a new peice of equipment - group buys - specials from local stores - Maybe a 5 dollar discount from the entry fee's of upcoming events etc etc..
Just a thought, Rockney

Radio advertising is bunk. The 16-25 age group doesn't listen much to radio really, the times they listen are hard to track, and I dunno about you guys but I generally "tune out" during commercials. Hell there were drags in Mission last weekend and it took me hearing the commercial 3 times to catch the dates cuz by the time they caught my attention the ad was over
Thanks Mike - I took marketing/promotion/advertising when I went to school for Business Admin. Comes in handy here and there. Well that and I worked for two of the cheapest people on the planet so I had to get creative
The stuff I listed above would keep a person busy for about a week - two if you wait for posters to get printed. For posters remember to get them in places people with cars go: parts stores, gas stations, car wash, Can.Tire, and if school is in session, high school bulletin boards..
Be smart and creative and it does not have to cost big $$$

I'm 30 years old, happily married and established in a nice suburban home of my own, two cars and a motorcycle not counting my wifes - and I still maintain season membership at three local skateparks for skateboarding.
The skateboard definitely doesn't need to go away.
The "keys" simply help bring you to new spots.
