I need a high output alternator and iw as thinking about 120amps or so. It needs to go on my 96 buick regal and i am having a little trouble locating one in the GTA. know any good places? and, how much could i expect to pay just for the alternator, my friends could install it for me.

Look up D.G. auto electric in the yellow pages, there are quite a few locations, and they can do it for you easily.
Dunno about the price one that car, but I got a 180-amp alt for a 76 impala from them for about 200 bucks total.

I recommend them highly

Yes they do, but considering the size of car there is probaly room to make a cstome mounting bracket and for the price I am willing to sell the alt for it is worth it

I've replaced the stock alternator on my car (Olds Eighty Eight 91) to a 130A. Works fine when engine is above idle but below its not putting out much power maybe less then what the stock alternator did.
To replace it is easy, just need the right wrenches and socket sizes. Then release the tension on the timing belt.
As to where to get it I can only say avoid Global Rebuilders Ltd in Whitby and if anybody says mine is crap, well blame them.

Go find a racked up Volvo/white transport and put that Delco 21si in there. I think it was the 91 model cabover that has the 165 amp alt in it.

Probably bigger than your motor, but what the heck.
