Head Unit Scratch

Hey,
I just put a VERY noticeable scratch in my head unit. Anyone know of a way to either A) fix it and make it look new or B) fry the head unit so i can do a 1 for 1 swap on my warranty.

A) That sucks; really sorry to hear that. You can try plastic polish, like fopr scratched headlights.
B) Please don't abuse your warranty, making manufacturers jaded against all of us

Start with a very fine wet sanding, till you flatten out the scratch. Then start polishing. Won't be able to tell anything happened. The only problem is removing the cover to do the sanding/polishing. If you're not careful you will crack it.

I highly doubt a manufacturer will replace a unit that was purposely damaged. And yes, they do check . . . because it costs them money not to.
