help with "happy" customer

help with "happy" customer

So i did a sirius hardwire today, standard pontiac sunfire 04, ignition wire pink....simple removal of the steering column cover, with 3 screws...no real interferance, with other wires to my knowledge, long story short is shes claiming her odomiter which i believe is digital is no longer working, i know spedos and odomiters are usually teh same wire? anyone have this problem or ideas other then simple, fuse blown, or leds, burnt out, like actual mechanical or electrical problems ? i assume its just coincedence anyhelp would help tho thanks guys

the back lighting on her ODO has quit, I've seen it alot on cavlaliers as well, I don't have a solution for you though...

Sorry to hear that it happened when you worked on it......... not much you can do it just expalin the sitution and get it resolved, hopefully you can fix the sitution with out costing you any money.....


We get the dead lights of a gm radio after a starter install........not my damn fault!




I use the internet search the problem and if it is common you'll see on the net with like a million results. I show the customer that but do always try to get things fixed for them...........so time your jsut ****ed though

had this happen the other day! most likely the backlights, not your problem!

It will be when the customer goes back to GM telling them it stopped working after you worked on the car.

Be carefull how you handle this or be prepared to pay for repair

I know that there was a recall in 200 for this problem, the back lighting would stop working after you tried to adjust the dimmer. beleive it or not the BCM had to be replaced under the recall
