How about those F-mods? They go inline with the RCA cable and require no power. I'm not entirely sure how they work but I 'think' they are like a passive but on the RCA cable. They are non-adjustable.

JVC RX-6030VBK I believe

It has a crossover setting on the display I can change from 80hz to 200hz or so, but I read and it didn't say anything about the sub out being crossed im wondering if it was just for the surround speakers.

The sub out is crossed over then. I read the manual for your reciever and when you set the xover to 80hz (For example) the freq's below 80hz are redirected to the sub output, along with the LFE information.

You do not need another xover.

It's rather strange that loudsubz wanted info on building an active crossover, and now we're suggesting passive crossover parts.

^Then I guess it would be ok to suggest running just any active crossover in front of your amps. It's less trivial to search for an active crossover than odd coils and passive parts.
I have a couple crossovers for sale here, let me know.
