The Crossfire VR705D is another stellar 5 channel class ab and class D (sub section) amplifier. I have also used many of the Eclipse 5 channel amps over the years and had more than adequate results. Favorite though, hands down, is the Crossfire.

I find that most of these 5channel amps are a little lacking for front speaker power. Most of the time I have more power going to the components than the sub. The extra power does wonders for dynamics and headroom. Of course, it also helps that my cyclone only needs 150watts

You may also get a way with a 4 channel amp. Something like a rockfor 8004. etc... even the 4004.

Use the 2 front channels for coaxials/components and the rear 2 for a single or dual sub setup. (4 ohm impedance) And if you choose to run rear speakers use your H/U power.

Ive done many installs like this for friends and they have all sounded good.

I run the DLS A7 5 channel, and I'm not even thinking of replacing it for a long time. 600 RMSx1 @ 1 ohm, 400x1 @ 2 ohm and 240x1 @ 4 ohm for the sub channel, with a seperate power supply for the sub channel as well. and 60X4 @ 4 ohms for componants gives enough power for anyone to listen to daily. Add to that the very flexible and accurate crossovers, and the ability to use only one input to run all the channels and you've got one heck of an amp.

A 5/6 channel amp makes alot of sense...depending on what you expect from your sub...in my experience they tend to lack on power to drive a sub needing more than 200 W's...this is dated info though...I'm not familiar with all of the above mentioned amps so they may do the trick....I would however reccomend going with a dedicated sub amp...just my antiquated opinion..
