How do I keep my rearview mirror from flopping all the way down?

Well the car is a bmw. I am not gonna make it look like crap. I will think of something. If I remove it, then I have to somehow hide the wiring that runs down into it and I dunno.

I just wedged a few pins in the ball and now it doesn't move down at all and everything still works as it should. You can see the pins but only if your looking for them

The hammer always falls on me. I am just used to it now. I knew I was going to get stupid answers when I asked but I thought I would ask anyways.

For me, it wasn't safe. I need to be able to see behind me.

I can take the subwoofers out, keep it down, get crappy stuff so my mirrors don't move but those aren't options.

I drive a bmw. I also have an alarm sensor on my mirror so glue just isn't an option
