Just so you know, if a cop sees that your screen is on, and notices that it is NOT nav on the screen, you get charged with dangerous driving, and lose your license. I hope letting someone play video games is worth that.

False. It's an $85 fine. You're welcome to contact erase@police.york.on.ca for more details.

And id love to see a cop prove that one in court. He can see a 6.5" lcd through his window, my window, on an angle, while moving, and be 100% sure that it's a video and NOT a navigation display running. There's one court date i would look forward to.

Maybe we can let this thread die now? I have my answer already. thanks.

I can't remmember correctly on that unit but the older flip-out screens you could ground it out and hook it up to switch so you could watch a movie but if you saw a cop just flip it and turn it off.

but they put all these safety things in those new flip-out screens

you need one of these if the thing i said at top doesn't work

i have a cva 1005 and all i had to do wa hook up a valet & togle switch to the external processor. Push and hold valet switch while you flick the togle twice off then on. Your processor should have the wire diagram on it.
