Personally, I find sound to be the second most subjective thing to a man. The first most subjective thing to a man is woman. So if you're gonna listen to someone who had more gf telling you that your 10 yr relationship with your gf/wife sucks... and you should be dating the kind of hot chick that he has...good luck.

@veeman
ditto. Couldn't have worded it better.

The Focals sounded incredibly upfront, and muddy in the mid range (google about them), same with the Energy speakers but at a lesser degree. The infinities have incredible sound stage, and doesn't sound like anybody's shouting right beside your ears. Punchy mid bass, but not enough volume at the lower end...which is why I go 3 way with them
energy has good mids. just needs power. what FS gives ( 75watts ) is not enough. they like 130 to 150 watts rms. i have them on my sound wall and they are by far better sounding that infinitys. even the kappas. havent heard focal yet tho. would love too

Just curious, how did you know they need 130-150? not 100-120? or 160-170?

You sure your amp was putting out 130-150wrms at the volume that you deem that they sing beautifully? you measured them?

if i crank till im close to distortion on an amp runing at 150watts rms at 4ohm y wouldnt it sound better than an amp pushing 75watts rms full tilt??? i know its not a constant wattage every second

right now on my amp i whent from 40 to 110 watts bridge and the midbass is a hell of alot better SQ cranked up and volume is insanely loud

and to mesure i will need someone to show me how. and i want to learn how

I know this is not related to the question but i just turned my amps (Hifonics BXI2008D) gain half way today and it went into protection mode after 20 Minutes.

Any one know why ? And any tips on how to tune it ?

I didn't want to make another thread so i asked here , ive been making millions of threads.
