how much will new alternator affect W7 setup

About the only thing one can say about a sealed box is that if you mess it up, it is more forgiving than a vented box. They almost always have lower group delay too but with a decent vented box this is not a big deal.

People need to realize that if you build a vented box for high output, it's not going to perform well at low levels.

build a vented enclosure tuned to 40 Hz and you'll be amazed of how well the bass response is with rock music.

Going today to get the alternator put in. I have it tuned pretty well and it sounds a lot better
