K so after weeks and weeks of readin on a couple forums and askin lots of questions I'm gonna ask if the setup I've decided on for my budget for my GMC Sierra Ext Cab is gonna pound some sound.

I have already:

- Pioneer DEH P-4500MP HU
- Pyramid PB880 1200 Watt 4CH amp
- Infinity 652i 6.5" mids/highs

Have pretty much decided to buy now:

- Single Pioneer Premier TS-1041DVC 2ohm or 8 ohm rated 400 Watt RMS / 800 Watt Max. (Wanted the Elemental Design 10K.44 but more than my budget will allow right now.)
- Custom sealed enclosure for under one side of the backseat(still have to find a descent price, the shop I went to already wants $185 CDN for one).
- Wanted to buy a Lanzar SL800D rated RMS 500Watt x 1 @ 2ohm BUT because of my budget (and the difficulty finding one) thinking of buying the Boss R850 Mono Block Amp which looks like it could be RMS 400 Watt x 1 @ 2ohm. (don't know how this amp will do to push the single sub but its definetly within my budget).

Will eitheruse the Pyramid Amp to push my mids/highs (Infinity's) and the rears or will run them off my HU not sure which will be better right now.

Please Please Please let me know if this is all going to work.

Cheers all

It will work fine, and it will probably sound decent until you try to turn it up really loud. Don't expect massive bass but it would probably sound fairly balanced anyway.

Trying to stay under $400 bucks for Subs/Box/Amp.
Cuz I still have to pay for professional installation cuz I bought my truck recently and the bull**** warranty states if I don't get the installation of aftermarket parts put in by a certified technician I void my electrical warranty.

Along with my first post I'd also like to ask if ANYONE can recommend a GOOD place to get an install done (have to have it professionally installed to avoid voiding my electrical warranty) within the GTA (that is reasonably priced) and also where I might be able to find a single sealed enclosure for under the backseat of mah truck.

Cheers
Jeff

$185 bucks for a descent box is reasonable?? k I'm surprised ..thought descent boxes could be had for much cheaper than that but guess I'm wrong.

As for that Boss amp ..has anyone had any experience with it or Boss amps in general. I heard the newer Boss amps are supposed to internally be identical to the Pioneer amps.

I don't see how they would be internally identical to Pioneer amps considering Pioneer has absolutely NOTHING to do with Boss ...

And Boss amps have always sucked in the past. I don't why this year would be any different ...

More than likely, Boss amps will have the same internals as its sister company's amps, Soundstorm (NOT Soundstream).
