k im a tad bit confused here. i have a DXZ545MP, but im not all to sure if i can hook up a cd changer of another brand to it. i know i can hook up a clarion cd changer to it, but would i be able to hook up any other brands to it?

 

Think of it this way, the Clarion changer and deck speaks French and all the other changers speak Tiawanese. While the pins in the harness may line up with each other, the two units cannot communicate with each other.

 

but i can hook it up through the aux out put's right?

 

No, the deck still has to communicate with the changer and tell it to change tracks etc.
