Ok my car audio stuff has been sitting around for a while now.... almost a year and I'm sick of the lack of power my current home system (300 watts). I was to set up my car system into my room. And I have a stand already built (I was a very well put together sub box the only problem is the sub hole (I can't make circle)) So I want a way to power my deck/amps and I don't want to use a car battery. I don't have much money but I know Canadian tire has a plug for $20 with has a switch on it that says it goes to 12 or 14 volts should I buy it and hack into to it to power my stuff or should I get a different way???? (I'm going to take pics of the project as I go along)

you need a power supply capable of putting out enough current. You can moddify computer power supplies to suit the part.
