so got some six by nines. Now I need Help.

I have a 95 saturn Sl. And i have been trying tho put the new speakers into the back. Getting the stock covers off was a mission in itself, but after that and removing the stock speakers, I'm stuck.

The ummm, whatever the cover is curves up where the speakers should fit, and the metal underneath is curved up .

I was Hoping someone has did a saturn before and if they could relay any advice to me.

^^If I cut the curve completely then I will have nowhere to mount the Speaker. If I leave a little, I'm screwing it onto a curve... where i believe complications will arise.

I was thinking of maybe Biulding up with something, maybe plywood, but then i have to worry about the shape of the material covering....

C'mon, someone must be more helpful than " jigsaw" Guy here.

That wasn't a shot at you BTW. One love homie.

Hmmmm

If the factory speakers were mounted back there in some kind of adapter or bracket, try using that for your 6X9s.

If the speakers you're installing are larger, you can cut out the curve and cut a plate out of 3/4" MDF to attach to the rear deck and mount you new speakers to that.

HTH

Hate to say this but... easier to get speakers that fit bud. 6x9's aren't going to do anything spectacular for your sound quality anyhow. A nice set of 6.5 or 5.25 coax's will work great and the 5.25's will most certainly be an easy fit rather than slashing your car to bits for speakers that sound acceptable at best.

You need to pick up a 6x9 hole saw, ask at your local audio shop they will have one.
