I am sure you'll love how they sound, unfortunatelly you won't really hear how awesome they can really sound since your only power options are a headunit amp which may produce 22W when struck by lightning, and an amp with Pyramid written on it and a 15amp fuse.

Have fun, but as soon as you can afford it, buy a real amp, and marvel at the sound of your speakers.

Whats powering your subs? Your goal is to have good sound quality and for your front stage to match your subs. You have the speakers now, but in order to reach your goal, see middle paragraph.

Thats some nice bass you'll have there! So, have you decided what amp to go with for the fronts? You can probably hold off for a while, since the first couple of weeks will consist of friends wanting to experience the shake/rattle/roll. But after this wears off, you'll want a full and deep music listening experience on high volume and be able to hear freq. other then the sub on low volume (this will annoy you to high heaven, believe me). Get yourself a good quality power matching 2-channel amp for the comps, and you will never look back! Your comps take 100WRMS, so your best bet is to get a 400W amp (2 or 4 channel), and either push 100w into each and leave the other 200w for future consideration (two more comps? oh yeah!) or go all out and push the whole 200w into each!

ya i will totally get an amp as soon as i can.but for a little while its gonna be mostly bass lol, since i only have components powered by my deck and no rear speakers...you are saying get 2 sets of comps?? comps in the rear with tweets back there as well? so 4 tweets in total, would that sound pretty crazy or should i just get coaxiel's in the back...i also figured out yesterday that i might need a deep cycle battery and possibly a new alternator,i hope not cuz thats just more brocolii out of my pocket lol

are you crossing over the signal to the fronts or are you running full range?

If you have the funds for two sets, wow, that would absolutely rock. But really DON'T bother with rear speakers, and whatever you do, do NOT put any tweets in the rear. Any mid/high freqs from the rear will just mess with your stage and overall sound. Don't worry about your rear passengers either, you're going for a real audio system, they will enjoy the sound without rearfill.

400W is enuff for your whole front stage, as I said, and a 4-channel is always a better bet since you have more control over your individual speakers.

So, you have a few options here, let me list some..

1. Two 6.5" or one 6.5" and one 5.25" components in the front, perhaps one mid in the door, one for the kickpanel, and one tweet in the door, the other on the dash. Really tho, no need for two tweets, so one component and one seperate midrange is good enough (not coax). You could also put both of the mids into the door with no problems, if you can fit them.

In this setup, a 400x4 amp would power one speaker/comp per channel for 100w a piece. This setup is also what I always invisioned as best and had in my car before I became a car-audio fanatic and switched to always going with option 2.

2. If you have a set budget for your front stage, then this is the preffered options by most audiophiles. Instead of getting 2 sets as above, use the money and get one kickass top of the line set instead (eg. instead of buying two low/middle of the line sets for $200 each, buy one top of the line set for $400). Then, bridge the 4-channel amp and give them 200w a piece. A set like the Boston Pro 6.5" would be such a set, and would appreciate every one of those 200 watts! Naturally, if money is not an issue, you can just get two serious sets, but this is unnecessary and would also mean you'd have to get a more powerful amp and also give more power to your subs (what kind of amp is powering your subs now anyway?)

Believe me, a high quality 6.5" and a high quality tweet with proper power will absolutely blow your mind with quality, depth, accuracy, loudness and overall enjoyment. I know car companies lately love to advertise how they have 8 or 11 speakers etc., which is of course a great advertising idea since 99% of car buyers are not familiar with car audio. Also, most companies now advertise surround systems (which need speakers all around the listener) for dvds and such, but music should never be played in surround sound and should never be comming from anywhere but the front (think: rock concert).

3. If you must have speakers in the rear, then get a pair of 6.5" midbass drivers and you'll be happy. Some on here say even that is not a good option and the rear should not have anything, but I have very good experience with this kind of setup, as do others. Of course the rule "NEVER USE DECK FOR POWER FOR ANY PART OF YOUR SYSTEM" still applies, so you'll have to sacrifice power to share it with these (eg, rear two channels of the 4-channel amp for these, and the front two channels for the front comps).

But, as I said before, if you're on a set budget, most audiophiles will tell you that if you have 400W to play with and thats that, its much better to go with option 2 still. You can always add rear drivers or another front midrange/comp and more power later on. So really, option 2 is set in stone here unless you have some specific reason to go another route. I still recomment a 4-channel (4x100w) over a 2-channel with the same power (2x200w), but thats only due to more choice variety in future upgrades.

i also figured out yesterday that i might need a deep cycle battery and possibly a new alternator,i hope not cuz thats just more brocolii out of my pocket lo
You should be ok with the setup you have. If you end up giving the subs more power later you can consider upgrading electrics.

well i have already bought my components ,its a full set with 2 6.5'' speakers,2 tweeters and 2 crossovers, they are a HERTZ set,if u scroll back a bit i wrote the model number there...i have no choice but to run these off my deck right now, just untill i can afford a nice multi channel amp..i dont really want to be cutting holes in my doors and other places to fit speakers,im just gonna go with the regular set up which is my comps in the doors ,tweets on the front somewhere on the roof support beams down low around the dash, and maybe if i feel the need to,ill get some 6.5 coaxiels in the back deck, since my car is a 2 door...im gonna install my speakers during next week somtime, cuz its canada day long weekend and ive been partying super hard going on 3 days in a row now haha you ****'s better be doing the same! lol
