Ideas for an amp?
So I'm new to this.
but if im looking at 2 12" LA S12.2.4
and looking at putting 200-250 Watts RMS say into each, i believe theyre wired at 4ohms, what kind of amp should i be looking for?
am kinda low on cash too but does anyone have any suggestions, or know what i should be looking for?

A JBL bp600.1 is good cheap power. Does the same power at 2 or 1ohm so if those are single or dual 4ohm drivers just wire them in parallel and you'll get ~700rms. If it's too much just turn the gain down a bit.
If it's still too pricey check the For Sale forum for something.

Yea sorry they are dual now. but they can only take 400 each... i was looking at a 1200 but i was told that id probably end up blowing them if the RMS is constant that high. is that not too much power for them?
As long as your sensible with your bass boosts, sub control and gains, there would be no problem running 700 or even 1200 to them. If there in a ported box, make sure the box is tuned low with a Sub Sonic Filter. It's all about you listening tastes too. If you listen to your music at a reasonable level, you'll be safe. If you have it cranked all the time, it's not such a good idea. Good luck.
The bp1200.1 should be a nice match.
So lets say the amp puts out 700w rms @ 4ohm. You would be getting 350w rms to each sub. More then what I was putting out yeasterday (250w rms)with my RF bd1000.1 amp and you heard how loud it was.
Just keep your gains down and you will be happy

Why not run an amp that puts out some nice power at 4 or 2 ohms, but also has the ability to run a load down to 1 ohm? That way you have the option to change subs if you want later down the road and you won't have to change amps to run them. I'm selling some Micro-Dimensions in the FS catagory. Check them out.
