Talking

We made the 'headshots only' rule for avatars so people could get an idea who they were communicating with and maybe recognize them in the real world.

Personally, it would still be that way if I had my say. It's not though so I have my wicked logo as my avatar

And John - I'm still here so wtf - who else do you need?!

I've been on this board a long time.. kind of why I don't want to give it up I guess but its getting boring, some good guys are gone now, some really smart guys are gone. For all the other things you can say about them they know there audio and contributed to this board in that manner.

I can't even display my new project because I might lose the rights to the photos and won't be able to get them back like my very good buddy did.

Hey its your board your rules but we all want to see it prosper so that its still here.

I use to advertise with this board had a banner for a year and a ½.

I always wondered why our display or trucks or installs couldn’t be used in the avatar as well?
Hi,

You sound like you aren't having any fun at all...

I don't like when people are not having any fun...

Even tho your 22 posts scream hardcore participation, I care about you...

You e-mailed me the pics of your truck and they were nice.

So tell me, how do I bring the fun to CCA? Strippers? Free booze? Amp giveaways?

Toss out some ideas, so we can stop tossing out the member base...

Thanks,

GTcars

Wow that was taken in such a wrong manner, The friend I was speaking of was Underdogg whom could not retrieve his pictures once posted.
Tim/Dave ect ect are industry acquaintances that I respect but don't necessarily conceder buddies.. Cept Dukk you know your my hommie.
22 posts ya science my original account was lost I had a golden toque from maybe 5 years ago I maybe had 7 or 8 thousand post back in the days when it was fun to post and shoot the , now I just don't know what’s aloud to be said. I like to be a team player but there is no room for error here it seems its my way or take a hike.

Sorry I don't want even to try and defend all this, man where did all this hostility come from anyhow?
If you trust paul ask him is I’m a disturber I have always gone along with the rules of the board.

It’s a dead horse like you said THIS is why I don’t contribute.. I don’t like conflict if there’s no need for any.

my .02 . I don't want anything to do with this fight, but I have to agree ^^^^on some points. I too am almost scared to post on this board anymore for fear drawing the wraith of the board. I've been on this board for almost 4 years and although not the most prolific poster, I do try to contribute, and I am on the board almost every day. It is however, getting harder and harder to stay interested in what is going on here and that is a sad thing to say.

First of all... my low post count may make me a person who doesnt participate.. but I'm on here a lot...

You must realize how this forum was before ownership changed. I never got the impression that it's primary focus was to make the owner money. If it did great... but that was never the impression. This forum, however...............

I can't even advertise that a show is going to happen without handing over tons of high res images...and losing the rights to them.

It's just stuff like this that is retarded... Does CarSound do this? No... Would CCA have done like this before the ownership change? No!

It's frustrating, really... This forum has such a wide range of individuals that its a great source of information and communication but the rules limit many people's comfort zone...

we've been through this debate, we agreed that the rules seemed harsh, therfore we set up a section that does just that... advertises events... free of charge.

and here is the kicker... before the ownership change unless you spammed every section not all of the members would see your event.

now your event is on the main forum page, so EVERYONE can see your event.

we are willing to discuss things and give a little to maintain a forum that is appeals to many... but it needs just that... discussion of the problems... not namecalling and definitely not unwelcome solicitation of the competitors.

So this is no to the strippers? Crapola. Any time someone puts out money to buy something, it is a business transaction. The site has a certain business direction it wants to go. Perhaps the site will take 2 steps back to make one step forward. Each and every site is unique in how it operates. If you ask me, I like the direction the site is headed. While I also like how the old site operated, it is no longer the old site. I think the site is having some growing pains is all, once the spurt is over, perhaps things will be somewhat back to the same yet different at the same time.
