Insurance help!

I'm working on an insurance claim, this guy bought 2 DD 15" subs from cash convertors for $1595 per sub. What series of sub could this possibly be? Aparantly he was running 4 US Amps 2000x's to them...obviously this guy is either stupid or trying to scam some insurance cash! But i've got to find some prices none the less. So if anyones got some model numbers of DD subs that would cost about that, that would be awsome, thanks.

I smell a scam. No insurance company in their right mind is going to cover something that might not have existed in the first place. The owner would have needed to provide proof that he purchased them, that means receipt. Contact his insurance provider to see if they have a copy of his receipt.

Cash Convertors is also a unauthorized dealer, so chances are that these are used subs.

DD9115c retail for $1799.99 but can be had for the $1595 mark
DD9515f retail for $1299.99
DD9915c retail for $1899.99 and also can hit the $1595.00 mark

Yeah... I know a thing or two about them....

anyways... unless those subs have a yellow kevlar cone, your friend over paid.

I can post up the full MSRP price list later when I get home if you want... but it definitely sounds like something's fishy...

actually i'm dealing with the insurance investigator...he just needs me to run togther some prices, its a total scam, theres no doubt about it. Who walks into cash convertors and buys a $2500 set of focals for his fronts, a $1500 set for the rears, doesnt get warranty and pays cash...and thats just to start...two bills in two days, over $20,000 cash...I mean, it says he paid $2,800 for a Alpine IVAD901. It's street price is $2500 last year. Whatever though. Most of the stuff has models, but the subs dont, just says " 15" Digital Designs"
He's got alot of wire in there too. 50' of 2g, 20' of 0g, and a 0g amp kit. I kinda want to talk to the guy lol.
oh, and the cash converters he bought it at close down a few months ago lol

the 'yellow cone' subs have been around for years....

in fact.... all of DD's currently lineup has been available since at least Jan. (except for their new amps) ....
