Interconnects/Deck: The Relationship

^ That is my favorite part about the monster propaganda: their lower cables are awesome, their mid-line cables are even awesome-r and can do amazing things for your system and bring out ALL the sound but yet somehow their giga-dollar top end cables can bring out even MORE! How do you get more than 100% that the lower lines were supposed to achieve?

Awe come on guys...you never brought up the best part of the Monster Cable cables. They are pretty! And...the upper end cables are pretty-er!
In fact, there is so much "er" in the XLN Pros, that they are secretly called the "Rs" in the factory.
Dukk, your rant failed to deliver the goods that my oh so skillfull baiting was intended for. Next time I'll try harder-er!
My keyboard time is up.

Ah yes, the classic cry of the audiophile. As soon as the ABX box was brought up I knew this exact phrase would surface. You guys should save it for easy pasting.
Anyhoo - have you all spent any time researching the ABX box, it's development, construction, and operation, or anything before you casually discount it?
In fact the developer invented it to HELP manufacturers distinguish their stuff from other brands - not to single handedly destroy high end audio! Things just didn't quite work out the way it was intended though after a few units were made and comparisons started happening.
In a true display of marketing the inventor was then slandered and blackballed by a lot of the people/companies who encouraged him to make the damn thing in the first place! The old adage: "Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it" seems perfect here. He almost went completely bankrupt but managed to turn it around

DWVW, that's pretty funny...and true.
Orion_95, I'm nominating you as "poster of the month". It was a pretty good read, and in the references, there is an excellent link to an article by John Dunlavy. Not to put other people on this board down, but this guy know's his stuff. He currently holds a number of patents being used by a range of companies including the US military.
And...he's truly and Audiophile. Kind of cool to hear him call people's bluff.

Dukk, we've got to step up our game on this one. I mean, even JohnVroom isn't happy.
Maybe we should have our own section so we can practice...and no more of the copy and pasting stuff OK!!! (I promise I'll stop it too)
I'll be PMing Rob for some tips.
