J Dunlavy and RC both have made and/ or are holders of patents on cable technology’s

Mr. Dunlavy has made some of the finest larger home speakers in the Dunlavys and the Duntechs.

The extra "pricey" cables are probably from May audio marketing. The used to work with Bruce Brison producing MIT cables, but now they have their own line. Jack and Karen Sumner I think the owner's are, Transparent Audio is the brand name.
